The NSF subseries (1973-2000, 1 linear foot) documents the U-M L3 team's interactions with their primary funding body. The subseries includes proposals, correspondence, and reports documenting the team's involvement in the project. This subseries gives a sense not only of the funding of Michigan participation, but also of its varying emphasis within the Department of Physics over time.
