The second series, Bankruptcy Reform Act, (1 linear foot) contains materials related to various pieces of proposed legislation in the House and the Senate in the 1960s and 1970s which ultimately resulted in the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 1978. The materials include a draft Bankruptcy Act annotated by Vern Countryman, noted scholar in bankruptcy law at Harvard Law School and member of the NBC and ACBR. The series also includes annotated bills and the accompanying testimony on the legislation. The testimony includes statements from Professor Kennedy as well as other bankruptcy law professionals and interested parties.
