The Administration and Governance series, (1945-2010, 2.0 linear feet) contains materials produced in the course of cooperatively running Henderson House. Researchers can find business records, minutes of meetings, documentation regarding the history of the house, and other administrative records. The bulk of the materials consist of minutes and agendas of Henderson House meetings, Board of Governors meetings, and Alumnae Council meetings from 1945 to 2002 and are arranged chronologically. Five ledger books containing minutes from 1946 to 1956 are also part of this series. Other materials found in this series are applications for house officer positions, budget reports, fundraising information, Alumnae Council records, rosters of the Board of Governors, inventories of items in the house, house maintenance files (including floor plans and blueprints), house policies and procedures (including constitutions and by-laws), information regarding relations with the University of Michigan, Resident Director information, scholarship information, surveys of attitudes and experiences, and materials relating to the Society of Henderson Women.

The Activities series (1946-2009, 0.4 linear feet) contains materials covering a broad range of activities conducted by the residents of Henderson House over the years, including photographs, two scrapbooks assembled by house residents, and a VHS videocassette. Other folders document things such as publicity, graduation brunch, work parties, 25th Anniversary events, and house recipes. The videocassette is from the Henderson House 50th Anniversary event on August 27, 1994.

The Visual Materials series contains a range of media that document the residents and their experiences living in the house. Two scrapbooks span the years between 1945-1958. They have small photographs, announcements, newspaper clippings, and other varied ephemera relating to the residents and the activities that they organized and attended. While the photographs within the scrapbooks are in good condition, they are not consistently labeled. This also goes for the individual folder of photographs within the visual materials series. These photographs, while not labeled, appear to document residential life around the early to mid 1990s, with a few pictures from earlier years.
