The Michigan Garden Clubs were involved in numerous educational initiatives, Legislative Acts and other projects, records of which are kept in the Activities series. There is a large amount of material relating to Conservation efforts of the organization such as Waste Awareness in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and Conservation Conferences from the mid-1950s through the 1970s. Michigan's garden clubs were quite active in education as well. Several folders contain records of the numerous study courses it has offered, including documents, correspondence, and news clippings relating to the foundation of the Landscape Design School in Holland Michigan by Elsie Cook, one of the members of the club, in 1961.
