Republican state representative, 1907-1912, speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, 1911, state senator, 1919-1922, and official of the Farmers' National Council, the National Gleaner Federation, the Michigan State Grange and other farm and insurance organizations; includes correspondence, clippings, photographs and scrapbooks, concerning his political and business activities.

The collection spans the dates 1904-1926 and contains five linear feet of correspondence, clippings, photographs and scrapbooks concerning Baker's political and business activities.

Professor of accounting in the School of Business Administration of the University of Michigan. Files relating to his testimony and writings on cost accounting cases tried before the Federal Trade Commission under the provisions of the Robinson-Patman Price Discrimination Act; also miscellaneous accounting reports, articles and studies.

Pioneer in the private camping movement, founder and director of Al-Gon-Quian Boys Camp on Burt Lake in Cheboygan County, Michigan, and officer in the American Camping Association. Correspondence, articles, speeches and photographs; also Camp Al-Gon-Quian materials, including program files, reports, roster files, and published yearly programs; materials of King family, missionaries in China; and plans of Twining home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, originally designed by Albert Kahn and his associate Malcolm for Louis A. Strauss.

The papers of Herbert Twining, except for an earlier family letter from 1888, date from the 1920s to 1980. The collection is broken down into a series of personal and family materials, a series on Camp Al-Gon-Quian, 1931-1967, and photographs.

Herbert M. Slauson (1853-1936) was a University of Michigan alum who served as the superintendent of the schools of Ann Arbor, Mich. in 1898-1920. Consists of portraits of Slauson and his wife, Clara Conover Slauson, as well as a photo of the Slauson home on South Fifth Avenue in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Professor of English at University of Michigan and editor of proposed “Variorum Edition” of William Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus; textual notes and commentary on all aspects of Titus Andronicus, and notes and lectures on other plays, including topics relating to Shakespearean scholarship.

This collection relates almost exclusively to Price's work editing a proposed variorum edition of William Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus. There is, in addition, a topical file relating to general Shakespearean scholarship.

Timber manager of the Kneeland Bigelow Company of Bay City, Michigan. Autobiography; correspondence, 1899-1924 (scattered); Kneeland-Bigelow Company records, 1912 and 1923-1929; subject files relating to his interest in conservation, reforestation, forest fire prevention, local Republican party affairs, road improvement, and the development of the northern Lower Peninsula as a tourist and recreational region.

Documenting his business and public service activities, the Herman Lunden papers cover the period from the late 1890s to 1929. The collection includes Biographical/Personal material; Correspondence; Kneeland-Bigelow records; and an Alphabetical File.

Hermann and Hilde Pinkus Papers, 1930-1982

Hermann Pinkus and Hilde Hensel Pinkus were German immigrants who worked as dermatologists and allergists in the greater Detroit area. The collection includes records from the Detroit Dermatological Society and material related to the Pinkus's participation in professional societies and their research interests, including thorium X and amino acids.

The Hilde and Hermann Pinkus Papers (4 linear feet) are arranged in the following series: Professional Societies and Activities (1.25 linear feet); Topical Files (.75 linear feet); Miscellaneous (.25 linear feet); and Experimental Files (1.75 linear feet). This collection is particularly strong in its documentation of research practices and the treatment of various dermatological issues during the first half the 20th century.
