Papers collected by Mark Foster of Ypsilanti, Michigan. Printed material relating to the founding and growth of the Catholic charismatic movement; also survey taken among Catholic students at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.

The Mark Foster papers deal exclusively with the founding and growth of the Catholic charismatic movement. The material divides itself into two groups, a chronological sequence and opinion survey material. The chronological files, covering the years 1967 to 1979, consist primarily of printed material. While an occasional letter and a few obscure mimeographed publications can be found, most of the items are from available sources. The survey material consists of both summary data and individual questionnaires. The forms were circulated among students at the University of Michigan during the years 1967, 1968 and 1969, and to students at Michigan State University during 1969.

Washington, D. C. and Chesaning, Michigan, resident. Correspondence, research files, and photographs, largely relating to the writing of a centennial history of Chesaning, Saginaw County, Michigan.

The Mark Ireland collection includes correspondence, genealogical information collected on settlers to Chesaning, and research notes on his history Place of the Big Rock: Chesaning, Michigan, 1842-1950.

Mark Nickerson was a tenured associate professor of pharmacology at the University of Michigan who was dismissed due to alleged Communist connections. In May, 10 1954, he was called to testify before the Clardy Committee, a subcommittee of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), where he chose to invoke the Fifth Amendment.

The sound recording is a taped radio broadcast of Mark Nickerson's hearing before the HUAC, chaired by Kit Clardy, in Lansing, Michigan in May 10, 1954.

Colorado clergyman, proponent of the creation of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison River as a national monument, U.S. Army chaplain during World War II. Correspondence with family members while serving as chaplain during World War II, also other documents from his military service, including programs from services he performed during the war; papers accumulated from his career as Presbyterian minister in Colorado, especially notes from sermons; scattered papers of other, earlier family members; and Black Canyon Monument series which includes correspondence, blueprints and landscaping designs, clippings, and various publications; files relating to research and writing of book about Black Canyon; and photographs and postcards of the area.

The Mark T. Warner Papers (3 linear ft.) include correspondence with family members while serving as chaplain during World War II and other documents from his military service, including programs from services he performed during the war; papers accumulated from his career as Presbyterian minister in Colorado, especially notes from sermons; scattered papers of other, earlier family members; and papers relating to is efforts to have Black Canyon Monument established. The papers are organized into of five series: Personal; Chronological; Church Files, Military Files; and Black Canyon Monument.

The Tenny collection consists of one sketchbook containing depictions of the buildings, houses, and ships harbored at Jacksonville, Florida. There are also two drawings of University of Michigan views, the library and the clock tower of the library.

Contains annual reports, bibliographies, brochures and pamphlets, course catalogs or bulletins, directories, histories and manuals. Includes newsletters such as the University of Michigan School of Education Bulletin, Education Technology Notes and News, Innovator, Notes and Abstracts American and International Education, Notes and Abstracts in the Social Foundations of American and International Education and Sigam.

The Marsal Family School of Education Publications (11.2 linear feet) are divided into three series: Unit Publications, Sub-Unit Publications, Topical Publications and Student Publications. Some publications (or their successors) may no longer be available in print but are available on the school s website.

Editor and publisher, with his brother, William Randolph Cook, of the Hastings Banner in Hastings, Michigan. Correspondence, 1893-1941, relating to operations of their paper and other business enterprises, including material concerning Republican politics, the temperance movement, their activities and interest in the Rotary Club, the Salvation Army, and the Young Men's Christian Association.

The collection has been arranged into three series: Correspondence; Hasting Rotary Club; and Miscellaneous. The correspondence has been arranged chronologically with separate folders when needed for specific kinds of activities of the two brothers: political, business, church activities, and other professional responsibilities.

Professor of zoology at the University of Michigan, scientist for the Rockefeller Foundation, and scientific writer for both professional and popular publications. Correspondence, journals, manuscripts of writings, and class materials, including papers detailing his work with the United Fruit Company in Central America, 1928-1931, his later activities with the International Health Division of the Rockefeller Foundation, especially his interest in mosquito research and malaria control programs during the 1930's and 1940's, and his demographic studies of the people of the Ifalik Atoll in the South Pacific in 1953; and photographs.

The Bates papers cover the period 1913-1974 and include material relating to all phases of his career, including his research in Guatemala and Honduras with the United Fruit Company, his studies of mosquito biology and malaria control programs during the 1930's and 1940's in Albania, Egypt, Colombia, and elsewhere and his later investigations into problems of demography and human ecology. The collection includes correspondence, personal and scientific journals, miscellaneous entomological notes, manuscripts of many of his books, articles, and book reviews, copies of the scripts of his television appearances, and University of Michigan class notes. The collections also includes personal photographs and photographs relating to his scientific research.

The Martha Cook Building (MCB) opened in the fall of 1915 as the second all-women's dormitory on the University of Michigan campus. It was a gift of Mr. William Wilson Cook, a lawyer-philanthropist from New York City who was born and raised in Hillsdale, Michigan. Publications are dated from 1916-2015 and include annuals, constitutions, handbooks, histories, newsletters, and programs. Also contains material relating to various anniversary celebrations and the Martha Cook Alumnae Association of Detroit.
