Annual Reports
Annual Reports contains the final printed versions of the MPVA's annual reports from 1964 to 1965 and 1974 to 2000, including the 25th anniversary special publication from 1986. It also contains prints of the snapshot photographs used in the 2001 annual report.
Annual Reports, 1985-1994
The Annual Reports series, documents departmental activity, summarizing significant achievements for the period from 1985/86 to 1993/94. Reports for the years 1959-1978 are to be found in the papers of J. Robert Willson who served as chairman of the department from 1964 to 1978.
Annual Reports/Executive Committee Meetings
The record group begins with a series of Annual Reports/Executive Committee Meetings files. The Annual Reports are published summaries of activities but only two reports have been found. The bylaws are important for stating something about the organization and function of the state central committee. Of most value are the files of executive committee meeting files. Ranging in date from 1965 to 1978, the files detail the specific actions and development of programs within the party.
Annual Reports (title varies), 1955-1969, 1974-2001
The Annual Reports series (0.8 linear feet and digital files (online)) provides a yearly overview of the state of the department. The title of these reports changed over the years. They were first called annual conferences or retreats, then committee reports, and finally annual reports. These records include the annual reports from the chair and, occasionally, the associate chair as well as annual reports of various committees, programs, centers, laboratories, task forces, and other units within the department. Special faculty accomplishments are also noted in some reports from the 1990s.
Related material, including retreat planning material, can be found in the Topical Files series.
