Biographical / Historical:

Schicker was a resident of Detroit, Mich., who served as a photographer with the 310th Engineers during the American intervention in North Russia. He later worked as a Detroit firefighter, homesteaded in Roscommon County, Mich., logged in the L'Anse, Mich. area, and vacationed at Higgins Lake, Mich.

The collection was donated by Kim Acker, of Howell, Michigan, in 2003 (Donor no.: 9279 ).
