Biographical / Historical:

African American Cultural and Historical Museum (AACHM) of Washtenaw County, Michigan was established in 1993. By 1996, the museum received 501(c)(3) status. The AACHM's mission is to research, collect, preserve and exhibit cultural and historical materials relating to the life and work of African Americans in Washtenaw County. The museum's holdings include artifacts, documents, photographs, and oral histories donated by the community.
