RESTRICTIONS:

Restricted access in part. Access to some born-digital material is restricted to the reading room of the Bentley Historical Library.

Materials in Boxes 28 and 29 are restricted in accordance with the following federal laws:

Records created by a House committee are restricted for thirty (30) years from the date of creation unless previously made publically available (Rules of the 108th U.S. House of Representatives).

Records created by the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction are restricted for twenty (20) years from the date of creation (See Rules of the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction and Senate Resolution 474, 96th Congress).

Records created by the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform are treated as presidential records and are restricted for five (5) years after the President's term in office ends unless the President specifically extends the duration, not to exceed twelve (12) years (Commission was established by Executive Order 13531 on February 18, 2010. See also 44 U.S.C. § 2201-07).
