Much of the fieldwork and cataloging of the Finnish Collection at the Bentley Historical Library, including the obtaining of materials, was performed by Keijo Virtanen, doctoral candidate at the University of Turku who held a Research Assistantship at the Michigan Historical Collections in 1974-1975.
