The Alice Petersen photograph collection includes copy prints of photos of Danish immigrants in Montcalm County, Michigan, including portraits and photos of farm activites.

The papers of Chester Graham reflect the multifaceted activities of his career. The papers are arranged in a single alphabetical series, without regard to the chronological relationship between the various folders. Thus material from the late 1970s can be found next to material from the 1920s. In general, folder material begins whenever Graham first became involved with the subject and continues more or less to the present, although material becomes far more ephemeral as time passes and Graham's primary concerns shift to other subjects.

The largest bodies of material deal with Americanization in Akron, Ashland College, the National Farmers Union, and Graham's radio transcripts. There is also a body of material dealing with the Society of Friends and the organization's various political and social activities.

Collection of materials, largely in Danish, concerning the immigration of Danes to the United States as reflected in letters home, journals, and family histories; also include letters of Danish pastors concerning the work of the church in Ashland, Gowen, and Manistee, Michigan.

The letters selected were from individuals who had settled in Michigan communities, notably Ashland, Gowen, and Manistee. Other materials in the collection include journals and family histories.

The Victoria Moessner papers consist largely of correspondence between Moessner and her friends, colleagues, and family. There is also information about Moessner's family history. The collection also includes papers of her father, Hans Emanuel Hansen. There are a series of family photographs in the collection dating from the mid-19th century to the 1980s.
