The Citizens for Traditional Values record group documents four separate but interrelated organizations having many of the same members and sharing a strategy aimed at uniting conservative Christians on behalf of similarly-minded candidates for office. These organizations were The Freedom Council (1985-1987), the Michigan Committee for Freedom (1986-1992), the MCFF offshoot organization Celebrate Life (1989-1992), and the Citizens for Traditional Values (1991-present). The record group contains a variety of documentary materials such as office files, correspondence, budgets, reports, fundraising information, draft materials, and news clippings.

The record group contains materials from The Michigan Freedom Council (MFC -1985-1987), the Michigan Committee for Freedom (MCFF -- 1986-1992), the MCFF offshoot organization Celebrate Life (1989-1992), and the Council for Traditional Values (1991-present), conservative Christian political activist groups working in Michigan. The records contains a variety of documentary materials such as office files, correspondence, budgets, reports, fundraising information, draft materials, and news clippings to give a well-rounded view of the conservative Christian political scene in Michigan.

Ann Arbor, Michigan, right-to-life activist; collected newsletters, clippings, and other materials relating to the right-to-life movement

The Elizabeth Lemmer papers consists of collected newsletters and printed material from Michigan Citizens for Life (later renamed Right-to-Life of Michigan) and the Michigan Right-to-Life Committee, a political action group organized to counter attempts to legalize abortion in 1972. In addition, the collection includes scattered correspondence and newspaper clippings regarding the issue of abortion.

Papers of Linda DeLeon, President of the Christians for Decency (CFD) Anti-Pornography Information Center in Wayne County, Michigan. Collection includes CFD and other organizations' correspondence, mailings, petitions, and printed material.

Collection includes material of DeLeon's organization, Christians Decency, as well as other organizations that share CFD's causes: American Family Association, American Decency Association, Focus on the Family, among others. Also included a small number of subject files and various petitions.

CDF material dated before 1987 show organization's official address in Inkster, Mich.; on materials dated after 1988 CDF is indicated having a Garden City, Mich. address. CDF files, dated between 1985 and 2011, include correspondence, much of it is DeLeon's exchanges with Inkster and Detroit city officials, offices of the State and the City of Inkster Attorneys, U.S. senators, managers and owners of local bookstores and adult movie theaters, as well as officers of national corporations, church pastors and ministers, and leaders of other Michigan conservative organizations. DeLeon's correspondence is mostly on the subject of pornography in public advertising, exposure of children to pornographic images, and sexual violence. Also included are CDF flyers and information mailed to its members.

Material of other organizations, Michigan, national and located in other states, include articles, newsletters, updates, calls to petition, and other material mailed to members. The American Family Association (AFA) Michigan includes runs of its several publications, most notably AFA of Michigan Frontline (1998-2013), among other material.

The records of Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan document the history of the organization and the family planning services it has provided to Michigan residents. The records are a good source of information on the history of birth control, abortion, sex education, and women’s health issues in the state from the 1930s to the turn of the twenty first century. In addition to the Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan files, the collection includes records documenting the Planned Parenthood Association of Southwestern Michigan and Planned Parenthood of Southeast Michigan, dating from the period before these two organizations merged with Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan. Materials include board minutes and reports, correspondence, organizational handbooks and policy statements, pamphlets, newsletters, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, photographs, and videotapes.

The Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan record group covers the period of time from the founding of the organization in 1935 through 2007. The history of the organization is documented in this collection. Extensive information about the services offered by Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan can also be found in this collection. These include medical, counseling, and educational activities.

Pro-life citizens group. Administrative materials, records of area committees within the organization, subject files, and affiliate organizations' materials consisting mainly of local right-to-life organizations; and correspondence and press statements.

The records of Right to Life of Michigan document the administration and activities of the leading anti-abortion organization in Michigan. The records have been divided into the following Series: Administrative, Committees, Topical Files, Affiliate Organizations, and Correspondence and Press Relations.
