Alan G. Billings was a set designer and professor at the University of Michigan. The collection includes painted set renderings from productions staged at the University of Michigan during his tenure.

The Alan G. Billings collection consists of set renderings painted by Billings while he was a professor at the University of Michigan. These renderings include both depictions of the sets, and depictions of certain aspects of production staging and costume design. The renderings are organized roughly by size, and thereunder alphabetically by title. Most set renderings also include information on where the production was staged.

This collection documents Doug Fulton's career as a journalist and photographer for The Ann Arbor News. Personal correspondence and clippings are also included. The collection is divided into four series: Articles, Personal, Visual Materials, and Subject Files.

Corporation established in 1954 to operate a center for dramatic and theater arts in Ann Arbor, Michigan. DAC also sought unsuccessfully to establish repertory theater in Ann Arbor. The Center dissolved in 1967. records accumulated by DAC secretary and president Wilfred Kaplan. Included are background information consisting of bylaws and chronology of DAC; administrative records; activities materials concerning work of the Steering Committee for a Repertory Theater; publicity, programs, and other materials relating to DAC productions; and scrapbooks containing clippings, programs, and one photograph.

The records of the Ann Arbor Dramatic Arts Center were accumulated and maintained by DAC secretary and president Professor Wilfred Kaplan. The records cover the period 1954 to 1966, are arranged in five series: Background, Administrative, Activities, Production, and Scrapbooks. The records, consisting of correspondence, memoranda, and other files, detail the formation of the Dramatic Arts Centers, its activities, its planning for a theater in Ann Arbor, and its eventual demise.

Martin Pakledinaz was a two time Tony award winning costume designer for stage and film. The collection includes costume, figural, and set design sketches, correspondence, photographs, posters, programs, and publications reflecting his work as a student at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan. The collection also includes a small portion of materials from the early stages of his professional career.

The records within this collection highlight Tony award winning costume designer Martin Pakledinaz' academic career as a student within Wayne State University's Department of Theatre and the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance during the early to mid-1970's. The collection subsequently incorporates a small portion of his sketches as a burgeoning costume designer in New York from 1977 to 1978.
