Robert M. Beckley
Dean Robert Beckley's administrative files are particularly rich for documentation of his interest in campus planning, captured, for example, in 1989 transcripts and audiotapes of the A. Alfred Taubman Symposium on Campus Planning. The forum, charged with addressing pressing issues facing campus growth, engaged participants in thinking creatively about development needs. Files also include material from a lecture and panel discussion on the future of design education that marked the Beckley inauguration, a solid run of his speeches and presentations from 1988 to 1993, and a collection of cards and letters he received upon retirement.
