The letters in these files document Gingrich's many interests, apart from Esquire Magazine: violins and violin collecting, fishing, conservation, club memberships, and involvement with arts organizations. Because the magazine was so much a part of his life, this series obviously has importance to the study of Esquire and should be researched in conjunction with the Esquire Magazine Office File series (which follows) and the Esquire Magazine record group also on file at the library.
