Personal correspondence
Personal Correspondence covers the period of 1932 to 1975 and is made up of two subseries: the first covering the years 1932 to 1950 is arranged chronologically, the second which is arranged alphabetically covers the period of 1951 to 1975. The letters in these files document Gingrich's many interests, apart from Esquire Magazine: violins and violin collecting, fishing, conservation, club memberships, and involvement with arts organizations. Because the magazine was so much a part of his life, this series obviously has importance to the study of Esquire and should be researched in conjunction with the Esquire Magazine Office File series (which follows) and the Esquire Magazine record group also on file at the library.
