Associations

The Associations series includes very detailed chronological records of the activities of the Newton Central Council and the Public Charities Association (PCA) of Pennsylvania during Dunham's tenure with these organizations. The Newton Central Council case record is arranged by page number and accessible by a table of contents. The PCA material includes two principal subseries, one including minutes, reports, and agenda and the other including scrapbooks assembled by Dunham which reflect the activities of the PCA. Both of these subseries are arranged by date.

Also notable in the Associations series is the National Association of Social Workers material. This includes transcripts of an oral history interview with Dunham that includes extensive biographical and organizational information. Also within this series is a file for the Michigan Council of Churches Committee on Race Relations with material dating from 1943 to 1945 which may be of interest to students of early approaches to civil rights.
