The Personal series provides a window into the ideas and thought processes that gave shape to Pacosz' writings. This series includes but is not limited to biographical materials about Pacosz; family immigration, health, birth, and baptism records, and marriage certificates; a binder of works created by and files surrounding the death of her former student Alton "Fred" Brown This includesYou Hear Me: poems and writings by Teenage boys?, a book of poetry in which Brown's work is featured and Pacosz is thanked for her contribution.

The collection also includes some correspondence, photographs, and personal diaries. The diaries contain a mixture of information such as the poet's dreams, to do lists, relationships, thoughts, poetry, daily life, travel, and budgets. Placed between the pages of the diaries dated between 10/23/1973 and 07/04/07 are random email correspondences, and notes between Pacosz and several of her literary cohorts concerning Pacosz' health, her daughter Elena, her writings, teaching career, family members, and everyday happenings in her personal life.

A distinctive feature of this series includes a binder of death certificates, correspondence, newspaper clippings, cremation and life insurance records, poetry, and obituaries all related to her parents (Walter and Sophia), and her two siblings (Richard and Doreen). Also to note is a binder containing some World War II correspondence between Pacosz's mother and father, as well as some of her mother's health records. This includes family photographs; newspaper clippings; programs; poems; memorial tributes; correspondence pertaining to publishing; membership to the West Side Detroit Polish American Society; and a second place prize for the 1981 William Stafford Poetry Contest of the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts.
