The Deans' Administrative Files (3.5 linear feet) overlap chronologically with sections of earlier accessions, but provide more detailed documentation of program development, cooperative programs with private industry, experiments with instructional television, and the long-term planning which was required for the move to North Campus. This subseries is strongest for the years from the mid-1950s to mid-1980s.

The Deans' Departmental Files (.5 linear feet) document the involvement of the dean's office in departmental administration and planning. For some departments, this material dates as far back as the 1950s, however the documentation is most comprehensive for the 1970s and 1980s.
