College Administration, 1902-1989
College Administration is a catch-all series of files created by administrative staff at the College of Engineering. Most of these records date from the years 1968 to 1989, although some were created as early as 1902. The series should be considered in tandem with previous accessions, as there is some overlap in terms of both chronology and content. The series is divided into five subseries: Older Administrative Files [pre-1960]; Departmental Files; Financial Records; Topical Files; and Awards.
Older Administrative Files (pre-1960)
The Older Administrative Files [pre-1960] (1.75 linear feet) contain correspondence, memoranda, reports and meeting minutes dating from 1902 to 1962. Of particular interest are detailed enrollment statistics from the 1940s and 1950s, records concerning curriculum development, and files on cooperative programs between the College and the military during both world wars.
