The Unit Publications series includes brochures, bulletins, calendars of events, directories, histories, manuals, newsletters, planning documents, programs, proposals and reports.
Academic degree program requirements are defined in what is called the university "bulletin" or general catalog. For example, program requirements outline how many credits and what subjects a student needs to complete in order to receive a degree in an academic program within a specific school or college. At the University of Michigan, the degree program requirements are positioned as a contract between the university and the student with regard to the definition and program requirements. Bulletins are arranged chronologically by academic year from 1881 to the present. Information formalized by the bulletin may also be found on the archived and active unit website.
This collection also contains manuals such as Drugs and Pharmacy created in 1994, the Faculty Handbook published annually from 1981 to 1984, and Pharmacy Service in Smaller Hospitals: A Resource Handbook for Community Pharmacists and Administrators of Smaller Hospitals which was issued in 1958. This series also includes a run of the College of Pharmacy Newsletter produced from 1977 to 1982. There are also proceedings from the fiftieth (published in 1918), seventy-fifth (1952), and centennial (1976) anniversary celebrations of the College of Pharmacy. Also included in this series are scattered programs of the college convocation from 1951 to 1967 and 1985.
