The Organizations and Committees series effectively documents Sunderland's broad professional involvement throughout the state of Michigan and nationally. The series is arranged alphabetically, close to the order in which the files arrived at the Bentley Library (there are no files, however, with headings beyond "Montana Bar Association," an indication that some may never have arrived). A significant amount of material is held here on Sunderland's work with the United States Supreme Court, the American Bar Association and the Judicial Council. Conference materials, mainly from the 1930s, are also a part of the series.
