There is extensive evidence related to Sunderland's activities in the Correspondence series, since it seems he faithfully saved a majority of documents that came in or went out of his office. The 4 linear feet of incoming and outgoing communication is, for the most part, arranged chronologically, with some years then foldered alphabetically. Approximately half a foot is arranged by subject. Additionally, there is correspondence to and from the Association of American Law Schools, material related to his work on discovery in the early 1930s, and documents to and from the Legal Research Institute.
