The Math and Science Series, 1974-1983, contains documents pertaining in part to the limited number of students in Michigan receiving Math and Science education. Elizabeth Giese conducted a study which showed a drop in the number of students taking math, especially girls. With this study PEER was hoping to raise the awareness of educators of the need for better math preparation from elementary through high school. Some of these files relate to PEER activities, while some derive from other sources.
