Miscellaneous
The Miscellaneous series contains materials brought together from a variety of sources that were not a part of a larger set of files. The Historical Information subseries contains histories of the dioceses, collected biographical material about bishops and other individuals important to the church. The Topical Files subseries is a grouping of files from different sources primarily from the period of the 1980s and 1990s. Of special interest are files relating to the church's response to the "Black Manifesto" (1968-1970). There are also depositions and other legal briefs pertaining to the Diocese's dispute with Mariners' Church. The Scrapbook subseries dates from 1943 to 1962. The six volumes consist mainly of clippings about diocesan activities and personalities.
