The Courses series illustrate classes taught by Stein through such materials as syllabi, photocopied casebooks, correspondence, and exam questions. Some of the material within the series also includes written notes providing context to the classes themselves. These sometimes note discussion questions and lecture topics. Some classes have reading lists and class schedules included as well. A small portion of the series contains materials from classes taught by Stein while he was a visiting professor at the University of Arizona and Stanford University.
