The subseries South Grand Office: Program Development consists of files created in the period, 1959-1960 when Williams was evaluating the possibility of running for President. The files concern the development of a program and the drawing together of a team of subject experts. There is also a large background file of collected clippings, pamphlet and published materials, and assorted memoranda, speeches, reports, and press releases.
