The Histories and Constitutions, 1914-1999 (0.25 linear ft.), series includes editions and revisions of the Galens' constitution and by-laws between 1914 and 1994. The Galens have also produced multiple histories and summaries about the society and its activities. In the 1950s, Galens reexamined old minutes and records, and compiled yearly histories between 1914 and 1948. These annual histories provide valuable information about years that are sparsely represented in other parts of this record group. The 1955 published history by Marvin J. Lubeck provides detailed information about the early years of the Galens, and the unpublished 1984 history by Donald M. Black contains photocopies of photographs and a few editions of the infamous Thymico-Lymphatic Constitutions.
