The Detroit Edison series contains correspondence relating to land purchases, reports, and a company history.

The Reports series consists of reports either written by Williams or commented upon by him. Most concern Michigan projects and relate to the development of water power.

The Photographs series (1900-1945) includes albums and other photographs of dam construction and other construction projects in Michigan and elsewhere, especially the Argo, Barton, Geddes, and Superior dams on the Huron River, and photographs of rivers and riverside scenes as they existed before dam construction began.
