Power Plants and Dams relates to dams and plants along the Huron River as well as to other water development projects in Michigan. These files consist of business correspondence on matters of land purchases and flowage rights, blueprints and drawings, contract documents and specifications, computations, and tests. Some of the Huron River projects documented include Argo, Barton, Geddes, Superior and French Landing. Some of the other files concern projects in Allegan, Alpena, Hart, Lowell, Rawsonville, and Sault Ste. Marie. Included with this subgroup are files relating to tests and experiments with draft tubes and the design of multiple arch dams.
