In 1949, the University of Michigan was one of six American universities to participate in the Political and Social Science Training Program. The program was offered to a group of Germans and is described in the series entitled the German Training File (.5 linear feet). This series is comprised of documents describing the purpose of the program and the University of Michigan's involvement in it. Of particular interest are evaluation forms from individuals who participated in the program. They indicate participants' reactions to the program, to the United States, and to the value of the program.
