Speeches and Presentations, 1966-1997 (2.0 linear feet) and Publications, 1966-1996 (3.0 linear feet) are arranged approximately chronologically, and include reprints of Neal's scholarly publications, copies of editorials and professional publications, and texts of many of his speeches. Of particular note is Neal's book, Garbage and Trash: Can We Change Mountains into Molehills? as well as the influential 1988 report, "Role of the National Laboratories," concerning the role national laboratories play in advancing science.
