The Photographs series (3 linear ft.; ca. 1940s-ca. 1970s) of the collection nicely compliments the manuscript series. It is arranged under ten headings: Personal; Senate Career; Interregnum 1954-1955; Philippines Ambassadorship; United States Court of Military Appeals; Inter-Parliamentary Union; Date Unknown; Negatives; Film; and Albums. Under each heading, the pictures are arranged alphabetically by topic. The researcher is advised to check both the Date Unknown files and the Albums when having difficulty finding a particular picture elsewhere in the series. Negatives from the collection have been grouped together, and notations on the finding aid indicate when the researcher should examine them for matches with existing positives, or for additional images related to a particular phase of Ferguson's career.
