Interlochen (Camp and Academy)
The Interlochen section (2) covers the institution in general, both Camp and Academy. It begins with a small file of Jacobi's pre-presidential correspondence, 1957-1971, mainly with Maddy, and continues with extensive subject files from his presidency, 1971-1989. Major portions concern Broadcasting (WIAA), Development/Fund-raising, Michigan, Organizations, and Special Programs and Events. Under Michigan, the files of Michigan Council for the Arts contain much information on state aid to Interlochen. The Organizations include the Concerned Citizens for the Arts in Michigan, the National Arts Awards panel of the Educational Testing Service, and the Michigan (Civic) Orchestra Association (which Maddy helped found).
