The Speeches and Presentations series includes transcripts, correspondence, logistical information, and notes related to speeches and presentation Vining made at Harvard, Villanova University, and the Catholic University of America. A large portion of the material focuses on presentations Vining gave as the Sir Edward Youde Distinguished Visiting Professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in June 2002. It also features materials from a trip to Hong Kong in 2002.

The Published Writings sub-series features correspondence, notes, and drafts from published books, essays, and journal articles written by Vining. A large portion of the series contains correspondence and notesrelated to Vining's book, "The Song Sparrow and the Child: Claims of Science and Humanity" (2004), which explores science, humanity, and religion. The series also heavily features correspondence and notes from his 2008 book, "Authority and Reality" which argues Catholic thought can have a positive influence on legal and judicial practice.
