The Deputy Director's Files, 1980-1991 consist of the files of Carla Stoffle whose duties as Deputy Director were primarily concerned with internal library policy and management issues. Her appointment in this position allowed library director Dougherty to concentrate on the growing external library issues. Consequently the files in this series focus on a wide array of internal and local concerns. Many of the memos and reports in these files have been annotated by Stoffle. This series is arranged in alphabetical topical files largely retaining the arrangement of the files devised by the Deputy Director's office.
