The councils and Committees series include minutes of the Cataloging Policy Council, 1984-1992, Library Council, 1950-1988, and Processing Policy Committee, 1975-1977. None of these are complete in their contents and occasional supporting documentation is included in the files.

Construction and Building Files, 1969-1977 (1.0 linear foot) document two major construction initiatives. The first relates to the addition to the Graduate Library (Harlan Hatcher annex) and related renovations from 1969 to 1976. Files include information on design and planning as well as the logistics of moving stacks and offices. The second project documented is planning for the construction of what would become the A. Alfred Taubman Medical Library. These documents are pre-construction and date from 1975 to 1978.
