M-LINK
Begun as a pilot project to deliver research information for community and economic development to every public library in Michigan, M-Link received a $625,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in 1994 to expand the program to some 600 public libraries throughout the state. Using e-mail or telefax, all public libraries in Michigan were able to send information requests that cannot be answered at the local level to M-Link librarians and staff. M-LINK, 1987-1997 (1.4 linear feet) records include annual reports, evaluation of services and effectiveness, sample reference inquiries, and topical files.
