Series I

Online

Series I television programs consist of independent, multi-part programs broadcast as part of the University of Michigan Television Hour, 1955-1980. The early programs were recorded as kinescope negatives and were later produced as 2-inch and 1-inch videotapes. The programs ranged from 5 to 30 segments, each segment being 30-minutes in length. The subject matter covered a wide range of topics and frequently featured university faculty as hosts or guests. The programs were thirty minutes long. Most were black and white, tough later programs recorded on videotape were sometimes done in color.
