The 1956-1984 Departmental Files subseries is arranged alphabetically and consists largely of correspondence between the dean and the chairmen of various departments of the Medical School, concerning policy decisions, faculty issues, complaints and problems, space allocation, etc. Some departments have several general files, arranged chronologically, followed by subject files.
