The Networks series (21 linear ft., 1984-1998) consists of records of the various networks Merit either created, managed or took an active role in, including NSFNET, MichNet, UMNet, MITN, CICNET, and FARNET. The largest portion of the series consists of records documenting Merit's involvement in managing the NSFNET. Records in the NSFNET subseries consist of reports, administrative materials, projects and proposals, contracts and amendments, and press. Other files (mainly correspondence) cover ANS/Valuga, CICNET, FARNET, and the Routing Arbiter.
