The reading program, which was of special importance during the Moore and Knott eras, has its own category (boxes 5 and 6; 2+ linear feet). It contains Moore's instructions for readers, lists of books to be read, extensive and detailed files on the texts analyzed, letters to readers and their replies, and inventories of the slips prepared at Cornell University and sent to the MED.
