The Allan F. Smith Supplemental Files subseries consists of materials generated by the Office of the President during Allan Smith's brief tenure as Interim President in 1979 and contains two sub-subseries, Committees and Issues.

The Committees sub-subseries, 1979 (0.3 linear feet). is arranged alphabetically by name of committee, all of which are internal to the university.

The Issues sub-subseries, 1979 (0.5 linear feet), continues the documentation of issues from the latter part of the Fleming administration, including freedom of speech and minority programs.
