The Ford Foundation Grants subseries, 1959-1968 (1.1 linear foot) consists of the Area and International Studies and the Population Program. The records document the university's use of two grants given by the Ford Foundation in 1961 and 1966 totaling 7.5 million dollars for teaching and research on the non-Western world. These grants made possible the establishment of various centers on campus, such as the Center for Population Planning.
