The Academics series contains materials related to the Honors program, the course pack for the course on student activism at Michigan taught by Goodspeed in winter 2004, and the final draft of his honors thesis "Urban Renewal in Postwar Detroit: The Gratiot Area Redevelopment Project" and related background materials.
The Journalism Topics series contains the source materials for many of Goodspeed's stories for The Michigan Daily. Much of the material was acquired through FOIA requests. Topics range from stories written for the crime beat to investigations of campus secret societies, particularly Michigamua and Vulcans. Stories cover campus and Ann Arbor news. Of note is material on affirmative action and the group BAMN (By Any Means Necessary).
