The Topical Files series (1.75 linear feet) contains a number of folders arranged by subject relating to human sexuality and gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender rights activities. This series includes background materials on housing issues at the university, same-sex benefits, and printouts of the LGBTA online newsletter from the years 1995 to 1997. The series includes an office clippings file dated circa 1989-1999 that is arranged by coverage at the university, within Ann Arbor, and within the State of Michigan. The series also contains a small amount of material related to the Educational Outreach Program dating from the early 1990s. A significant amount of educational outreach material can be found in the James W. Toy papers, boxes 2-5.
