The Ted Fredley Files series (1 linear foot) includes materials collected to or pertaining to the life of Ted Fredley of Orchard Lake, Michigan. Fredley, who identified as queer, was an activist for the fair treatment of LGBTQ individuals and extensively corresponded with others in the community, religious leaders, and corporations. The series contains selections of Fredley's correspondence between 1983 and 2005, discussing both personal matters and broader issues in the LGBTQ world, as well as materials printed by gay publications in the Midwest and across the United States.
