Research and Subject Files, 1955-2010
The Research and Subject Files series (5.2 linear feet; 1955-2010) contains documents from Ovshinsky's research and collaboration with other scientists on a variety of technical subjects. Research notes, correspondence, and academic papers constitute the majority of the documents found in this series. These files highlight the wide range of Ovshinsky's interests, with topics ranging from the brain and neurophysiology to optical memory. While research files exist throughout the collection, this series holds documents that, for the most part, are not directly connected to one of his many businesses. Of the subject areas in the series, files pertaining to cosmology and superconductivity have the largest number of documents and contain substantial amounts of collaborative correspondence between Ovshinsky, Morrel Cohen, and Hellmut Fritzsche.
