The Individuals subseries contains correspondence from professors, scientists, friends, employees, consultants, and admirers. There are a number of letters from politicians in this subseries as well, such as Amalia Solórzano de Cárdenas, former First Lady of Mexico, Carl Levin, a long-serving United States Senator from Michigan, and Mark Schauer, a former United States Representative from the Detroit area and subsequently a Michigan gubernatorial candidate. The subseries also includes materials Ovshinsky gathered for his biographer Lillian Hoddeson, professor emerita of history at the University of Illinois and historian of Fermilab.
